B's defeat Saints 4-3

Newark, NJ- On Saturday, the B's took on the NY Saints at Sport-O-Rama. Carlo Esposito, Jesse Benvenuto, Mike Markowitz, and Tyler Deresky (game winner) all scored. G Kevin Boyle was his usual self stopping 33 shots for the victory. Currently the B's are in 3rd place in their division.

B's take over 3rd place with win

NEWARK, NJ- Last Wednesday, the B's visited the Long Island Royals and took home a 7-4 win to climb into 3rd place in the division. Goals were scored by Carlo Esposito (2), Lenny Caglianone, TJ Sarcona, Alex Rojas, Tyler Deresky, and Nick Gradkowski. Goaltender Kevin Boyle made 36 saves for the win.

A's split with Jr Flyers

Newark, NJ- On Saturday night, the team traveled down to play the Jr Flyers and the result was a 4-2 win. Goals were scored by Dan Cassano, Chris Delmauro PPG, Dan Kolomatis, and Rui Encarnacao PPG. Goaltender Martin Ausserhofer picked up the win in goal.

On Sunday, the Jr Flyers visited the Prudential Center and stole two points from the A's as their goaltender made 50 saves. The A's outshot the Jr Flyers 51-21 and the lone goal came from Chris Delmauro. Goaltender Doug Danzi took the loss but was not at fault for the two goals he allowed. Both Jr Flyer goals were off a breakaway and a two on one rush. Both plays were breakdowns from the defensemen which cost the team the game in the end.

A's sweep Washington

NEWARK, NJ- This weekend, the A's travelled down to Virginia for two games with Washington. On Saturday, the A's won 5-2 with goals from Luke Ross, Cory Lillie, Travis Daniel, Ben Kramer, and Wes Hawkins. Goaltender Martin Ausserhofer made 22 saves for the win.

On Sunday, the team won again 6-4. Goals were scored by Mike Darrar, Cory Lillie (2), Ian Mauriello, and Dan Kolomatis (2). Goaltender Doug Danzi made 20 saves for the win.

Seven players represent the Junior program at All Star games

Newark, NJ- This past Sunday, the MJHL team South was represented by G Kevin Boyle and F TJ Sarcona. Team South won the game 7-3. The AJHL team South was represented by G Marty Ausserhofer, D Dan Kolomatis, D Mike Malady, F Dan Cassano, and F Rudy Sulmonte. Team South lost the game 9-2. The day included many NHL and NCAA coaches and scouts in attendance.

A's sweep Binghamton in three game set

Newark, NJ- Last weekend the A's outscored Binghamton 20-5 picking up three wins. In the first game, goals were scored by Wes Hawkins, Chris Delmauro, Rui Encarnacao, Nick Deresky and Tyler Savage for a 5-2 win. On Sunday goals were scored by Justin Hara (2), Rudy Sulmonte, Chris Volonnino and Wes Hawkins for a 5-1 win. On Monday goals were scored by Chris Delmauro, Justin Hara, Dylan Niehoff, Rui Encarnacao, Tyler Savage (3), Rudy Sulmonte, Dan Cassano and Wes Hawkins for a 10-2 win. The A's put 160 shots on goal in three games. The team is the top scoring team in the AJHL with 152.

B's 2-1 in last three

Newark, NJ- Last weekend the B's defeated the Troy Eagles 10-2. Goals were scored by Nick Gradowski, Mike Markowitz (2), Carlo Esposito (3), Nick Amendola, Matt Gervasi (2), and Connor McStravick. The next game was a 5-0 loss to Central Penn. The B's were out worked in all aspects of the game and handed a shutout loss. Last Thursday, division rival Long Island Royals visited and the B's rebounded with a 5-2 win. Connor McStravick, Carlo Esposito, Matt Gervasi, TJ Sarcona and Alex Rojas all scored in for the win. Goaltender Kevin Boyle stopped 58 shots for the win.
